FRPP Backing Ring

FRPP backing rings are commonly used flange sealing accessories in chemical and water supply/drainage pipelines. They can be used with flat flanges or blind flanges to form loose flanges or temporary partitions.

• Core function: Prevents overtightening and damage to flanges.
• When connecting FRPP pipe flanges, if the bolts are tightened directly, the immense pressure will be concentrated on a localized area of the flange, easily leading to cracking or crushing of the brittle FRPP flange.
• The thickness and hardness of the FRPP backing rings are precisely calculated and installed between the two flanges. When the bolts are tightened, the pressure is first borne by the gasket ring. Once the bolt torque reaches the specified value, the gasket ring is compressed, and at this point, the flange surface also reaches the pressure required for sealing without being overloaded. It acts like a "travel limiter" or "overload protection device."
• Excellent corrosion resistance: Consistent with the pipe body material, it can withstand corrosion from various acids, alkalis, salts, and other chemical media, making it suitable for harsh environments such as chemical, electroplating, and environmental protection industries.
• Lightweight and high strength: Much lighter than metal gasket rings, easy to install, and strong enough to meet requirements.
• Insulation and heat preservation: Non-conductive and has good thermal insulation properties.
