PVDF hot-melt socket ball valves are ball valves made of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) and connected via a hot-melt socket method. They possess excellent corrosion resistance, thermal stability, and insulation properties, and are widely used in chemical, electronics, semiconductor, pharmaceutical, and water treatment industries.

 

Structure and Materials

 

  • Valve body, ball, and stem: All are made of PVDF, possessing good chemical stability and high-temperature resistance, and can be used continuously within a temperature range of -40℃ to +150℃.
  • Seals: PTFE is commonly used as the sealing seat; EPDM or FPM sealing rings are optional, suitable for various corrosive media.
  • Structural Forms: Mostly floating ball structures, some large-diameter models use fixed ball structures, and can be equipped with manual, pneumatic, or electric actuators.

 

Connection Method

 

  • Hot-melt socket connection: By heating the pipe and valve socket to approximately 260℃, the contact surfaces melt and fuse, forming a high-strength connection after cooling. Suitable for small-diameter systems from DN10 to DN110.
  • Other connection methods: In addition to hot-melt socket welding, flanges, butt welding, and threaded connections can be selected according to requirements to adapt to different working conditions.

 

Performance Characteristics

 

 

Strong Corrosion Resistance:

Resistant to various acids, alkalis, salts, and halogens, but not resistant to strong fuming acids and polar solvents.

 
 

Good Thermal Stability:

Long-term operating temperature up to 150℃, with even higher short-term temperature resistance, suitable for hot water and high-temperature chemical transportation.

 
 

Good Sealing Performance:

Utilizes a PTFE sealing seat with an elastic sealing ring to ensure zero leakage, suitable for high-purity media transportation.

 
 

Easy Installation:

Hot-melt socket welding is simple to operate, suitable for rapid on-site installation, and the welded joint strength is close to that of the base material.

New Energy and Semiconductors:

Suitable for hydrogen energy and photovoltaic coolant transportation, meeting the requirements for ultrapure water, specialty gases, and high-purity media transportation.

Pharmaceuticals and Chemicals:
