Homopolymer polypropylene pipes are thermoplastic pipes made from homopolymer polypropylene as a single raw material, formed through extrusion molding.
Product Advantages
- High Rigidity and Strength: PP-H boasts the best rigidity and highest strength among the three types of PP pipes. This means it is less prone to bending and deformation, exhibiting excellent shape retention.
- Excellent Temperature Resistance: PP-H exhibits the strongest high-temperature resistance among the three. Its long-term operating temperature can reach 90℃~95℃, and its short-term heat resistance temperature can exceed 100℃. This makes it ideal for transporting high-temperature fluids.
- Superior Chemical Corrosion Resistance: It possesses excellent corrosion resistance to most acids, alkalis, salts, and other inorganic chemicals, making it particularly suitable for transporting corrosive media in the chemical industry.
- High Pressure Resistance: Due to its high strength and rigidity, PP-H pipes typically have higher pressure resistance at the same temperature and diameter.
- Long Lifespan, Hygienic and Non-toxic: The material is stable, not prone to aging, and has a long designed service life. The material meets drinking water standards and can be used in the food and pharmaceutical industries.
Selection Criteria
Media Characteristics:
Preferred for conveying acid, alkali, salt solutions, hot water, and neutral media below 95℃. Avoid use with strong oxidizing media (such as concentrated nitric acid and sodium hypochlorite solution) and low-temperature shock environments.
Pressure and Temperature Matching:
Select the nominal pressure based on the actual working pressure and temperature. For example, for conveying 95℃ hot water, a PN1.25MPa or higher rating is required; for corrosive media at normal temperature (23℃), a PN0.8-1.0MPa rating can be used.
Operating Environment:
Preferred for indoor installation. For outdoor installation, sun protection and antifreeze sleeves are required (sun protection extends service life, and antifreeze prevents low-temperature brittleness).
