Product Overview

 

PPH hot melt flanges are pipe fittings made from homopolymer polypropylene (PPH) with added antioxidants and UV stabilizers. They connect to the pipe via hot-melt bonding, and are then secured with flange bolts for a sealed connection. They are commonly used for fixing and connecting pipeline systems.

 

Common Structures

 
 

Hot-melt socket flange:

The flange neck has a socket; commonly used for small diameters DN15–DN100. It is inserted into the pipe end after heating at 230 ±5 ℃ and then cooled to form a single unit. It withstands a pressure of 1.0 MPa.

 
 
 

Hot-melt weld flange:

The pipe end is butt-welded to the flange opening; used for sizes DN125–DN400 and even larger. It is heated at 195–205 ℃, flanged 1 mm, and closed within 10 seconds. Its strength is ≥90% of the base material.

 
 
 

Loose-fitting flanges:

The flange can rotate, facilitating hole alignment; after the gasket is heat-welded to the pipe, a steel or PP flange is fitted over it and bolted in place. Suitable for narrow spaces or joints requiring frequent disassembly.

The most common is RF (raised face), with a raised annular surface on the sealing surface.

Material confirmation:

Ensure it is made from pure PPH raw materials to guarantee its temperature and corrosion resistance. Some inferior products use ordinary PP to imitate it, and the performance difference is huge.
