Product Overview

PVDF hot melt flanges are key components in PVDF piping systems, enabling detachable connections. They are primarily used to connect PVDF pipes to valves, pumps, filters, pipes of other materials (such as stainless steel and PP), or equipment interfaces, facilitating system installation, maintenance, and cleaning.

Product Advantages

  • Excellent Corrosion Resistance:They can withstand most chemical media, making them suitable for highly corrosive conditions such as chemical and metallurgical applications. Their service life is 3-5 times that of FRPP flanges.
  • Strong High-Temperature Stability:Long-term operating temperatures can reach 150℃, far exceeding other plastic flanges, making them suitable for transporting high-temperature corrosive media.
  • Reliable Connection and Sealing:The flange body is fixed to the PVDF pipe via hot-melt butt welding or bonding. With a gasket on the sealing surface, the seal is extremely strong after bolt tightening, effectively preventing leakage of corrosive media.
  • Balance of Rigidity and Toughness:Combining high rigidity and good toughness, PVDF flanges offer superior impact resistance compared to ceramic flanges and FRP pipe flanges. They are less prone to cracking due to uneven bolt tightening torque during installation.
  • Clean and Environmentally Friendly: The material itself has no leaching or odor, meets the hygiene standards of the food and pharmaceutical industries, and is recyclable. It releases no toxic gases during combustion, making it more environmentally friendly than PVC flanges.

Selection Criteria

Working Media:

For conveying highly corrosive or high-temperature media, they are preferred; for ordinary corrosive media, FRPP flanges (lower cost) can be used.

Pressure and Temperature:

Select the nominal pressure based on the actual working pressure and temperature. Consider the pressure drop caused by temperature; a 20% pressure margin is recommended.

Installation Requirements:

Select slip-on flanges for scenarios requiring frequent disassembly and large temperature fluctuations; select necked flanges for high-pressure, large-diameter, and fixed equipment connections; select blind flanges for pipe end sealing.

System Compatibility:

Ensure the flange standard is consistent with the pipe and valve standards; for cross-material connections, use corresponding transition flanges.
