Product Overview
PVDF threaded joint are short-connectors with an internal thread (female) on one end and an external thread (male) on the other. They are used to quickly connect pipes or components with different thread types while maintaining corrosion resistance and high purity.
Performance Characteristics
PVDF threaded joint have excellent chemical corrosion resistance, resisting the erosion of strong acids, strong alkalis, salts, and organic solvents. They are suitable for fields with high corrosion resistance requirements, such as chemical, pharmaceutical, food, and water treatment industries. They also have good high-temperature resistance, allowing for long-term use in certain high-temperature environments. Furthermore, they have strong weather resistance, are not easily aged by ultraviolet rays, oxygen, etc., and have high mechanical strength, capable of withstanding certain pressure and tensile forces.
Main Functions and Applications
- Connecting pipes of different materials or types of equipment: This is its core function. PVDF pipes are glued to the bonding end of the connector (usually a smooth socket). The threaded end of the connector is then connected to the equipment with metal threads by wrapping with PTFE tape or applying thread sealant.
- Easy Installation and Disassembly: Threaded connections are detachable. When it's necessary to replace, clean, or repair equipment at the end of the pipe, simply unscrew the threaded portion; there's no need to cut or damage the PVDF main pipe.
- Changing Connection Direction: Besides the straight-through "male threaded straight-through" and "female threaded straight-through" connections, the concept of male and female threads is also widely used in other pipe fittings, such as:
- Male and female threaded elbows: Used for turns in 90° or 45° directions.
- Male and female threaded tees: Used for branching.
- Male and female threaded unions: Allows for quick disassembly of a section of pipe in confined spaces.
Installation Points
Sealing Material Selection:
When tightening the threads, a suitable sealing material must be used to fill the thread gaps to prevent leakage.
Tightening Force:
Use appropriate tools (such as wrenches) when tightening, following the principle of "tighten by hand first, then tighten with a tool for 1-2 turns." Never overtighten! Excessive torque can cause PVDF threads to strip, crack, or crack later due to excessive stress.
Alignment and alignment:
Before final tightening, ensure that the connector is aligned with the equipment interface and adjusted to the correct orientation (such as the direction of the elbow).
