Product Overview
PP straights are pipe fittings made of polypropylene (PP) material, used to connect two PP pipes of the same diameter, maintaining a straight pipeline direction.
Material Characteristics
- PP material is non-toxic and odorless, possessing good mechanical properties, electrical insulation, and chemical corrosion resistance. Its melting point is between 164℃ and 176℃, its operating temperature range is -30℃ to 140℃, and its density is between 0.89g/cm³ and 0.92g/cm³. It is lightweight, facilitating transportation and installation.
- Connection Method: Primarily uses hot-melt connection. The connection point between the PP straight and the PP pipe is heated to a molten state, then quickly joined together. After cooling, a strong connection is formed, providing good sealing and preventing leakage.
Main Types
Equal Diameter Straight Fitting
- Function: Connects two PP pipes of identical diameter.
- Appearance: A simple straight fitting with identical dimensions at both ends.
Reducing Straight Fitting/Reducer
- Function: Connects two PP pipes of different diameters, enabling diameter changes in the piping system.
- Appearance: A straight pipe fitting with different sizes at both ends.
