1. Pay attention to the storage environment of valves. They should be stored in a dry, well-ventilated indoor environment, and both ends of the passage should be blocked.
2. Valves should be inspected regularly, and dirt should be removed. Apply anti-rust oil to the surface.
3. After installation and use, valves should be regularly inspected to ensure normal operation.
4. Check the valve sealing surfaces for wear and repair or replace as needed.
5. Check the wear of the trapezoidal threads on the valve stem and valve stem nut, and whether the packing is outdated or ineffective. Replace as necessary.
6. The sealing performance of the valve should be tested to ensure its performance.
7. Valves in operation should be intact, with all bolts on the flanges and supports complete, undamaged threads, and no looseness.
8. If the handwheel is lost, it should be replaced promptly; do not use an adjustable wrench as a substitute.
9. The packing gland must not be misaligned or lack pre-tightening clearance.
10. If the valve is used in a harsh environment, susceptible to contamination from rain, snow, dust, sand, etc., a protective cover should be installed on the valve stem. 11. Valve markings should be intact, accurate, and clear, as should valve seals and caps.
12. Insulation jackets should be free of dents and cracks.
13. Avoid striking valves while they are in operation, or placing heavy objects on them.
